THE BACKSTORY

The image has a lot of meaning beyond looking cool.

Every world needs a guide. SAINTE NICK's is NALINI — a guardian, a spirit, a watchful presence. She wasn't designed in a studio. She was assembled out of three real things from one real life.

Her face: a mother in Guyana, age 16.

NALINI is Nick's mother's name — her Guyanese-Indian name. The angel's face is her face, taken from a photograph snapped in Guyana right before she left, alone, at sixteen years old, to start a life for the family. That's the pioneering spirit at the center of the House of POTSH. Matriarch. First-mover. The reason any of this exists.

Her wings: a grandmother's spirit, still speaking.

The wings come from Nick's maternal grandmother — from the way she still speaks to him, communicates with him. The spirit is strong. Strong enough that wings were never a question. They had to be part of it.

Her form: Greece, and a spiritual awakening.

The classical sculpture, the goddess silhouette, the stillness — that came from a trip to Greece that hit harder than a vacation should. It was a spiritual awakening. The Greek goddesses gave NALINI her form. The mother gave her the face. The grandmother gave her the wings.

Mother. Grandmother. Greece. Put it together and you get SAINTE NICK's guardian angel.

The image on the back of the hoodie is not decoration. It's a lineage in one figure — the women who built this person, rendered as the spirit that watches the work. Music is my religion. NALINI is the one watching over it.

WHY THIS MATTERS

POTSH is a house. Every house has angels.

POTSH MUSIC is eight artist worlds connected through one human origin. SAINTE NICK is the artist at the center. NALINI is the spirit at the center of SAINTE NICK. She gives the House its name — the Hause — and she's the first piece of iconography that the brand puts on a body and sends into the world.

The hoodie is white. The angel is on the back, large. The script is on the front, small. The point is the figure — and the lineage she carries — not the merch.
