FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PORTLAND, OR — June 9, 2026 — Riley Gavins, the R&B and soul artist on POTSH Music, today announced her debut EP I’ll Take It From Here, a 7-track project arriving June 26, 2026. The lead single — also titled “I’ll Take It From Here” — is streaming now on all major platforms. Pre-save for the full EP is available via DistroKid HyperFollow.
I’ll Take It From Here is a post-breakup R&B record built around an emotional arc that moves deliberately from wound to ownership. The project does not rush its own resolution. Each of its seven tracks represents a distinct stage of processing — grief, clarity, reclamation, and finally, the kind of quiet confidence that arrives only after you have felt the full weight of something and decided to carry it differently. The production operates in the “Throwback in 4K” aesthetic POTSH Music has built around Riley Gavins: soulful, cinematic, and warm in the way that classic R&B is warm — not because it is nostalgic, but because it was made to last. The arrangements are spacious enough to let the vocal do the work it needs to do.
“Riley Gavins is the voice of earned perspective,” said POTSH Music in a statement. “This EP doesn’t stay in the wound — it metabolizes it. Every track is a step further through.”
The EP opens with the lead single and moves through seven distinct emotional positions. Track 1, “I’ll Take It From Here,” is the declaration — the moment of ownership that names the project and sets the tone, already streaming across all platforms. Track 2, “Two Things,” sits with contradiction, the feeling of knowing two incompatible truths at the same time and not forcing a resolution. Track 3, “free as a sparrow,” is the first breath of open space — a record about what lightness actually feels like when it starts to return. Track 4, “Your Expense,” is the one with edges: the recognition that something cost you more than it should have, and the refusal to pretend otherwise. Track 5, “peaches & patience,” slows the arc down into something tender — the art of waiting for the right thing rather than settling for the available thing. Track 6, “don’t loud it,” is the quietest statement on the record: discretion as a form of dignity, knowing when to hold something instead of broadcasting it. Track 7, “Outside for You,” closes the EP at the other end of the arc — showing up, present and unguarded, for something that has earned it.
